He has been in the healthcare business for the last 20 years. The Sandor group is a distribution partner for multinationals such as Sanofi, Abbott and Cantel, and provides diagnostic and scientific services in genetics and genomics in India. The flagship company of the group, Sandor Medicaids Pvt. Ltd serves more than 2500 hospitals in India and South East Asia.
Rakesh Sindhi is a transplant surgeon, Co-founder of Plexision, Chief Scientific Officer, and a member of Plexision’s Board of Directors. He is also Professor of Surgery, Co-Director of Pediatric Transplant Surgery, and Director of Pediatric Transplant Research at the University of Pittsburgh, where he developed all technology underlying Plexision's products. This technology is exclusively licensed to Plexision by the University. Rakesh has authored 15 patents/patent applications, and has also authored or co-authored over 130 peer reviewed papers. He has received several grants from the National Institutes of Health to study the immunogenetic basis of transplant rejection, and the genetic basis of biliary atresia, the leading congenital cause of liver transplantation in children.

Mr Reddy is an entrepreneur and engineer who co-founded Shanta Biotechnics, a recombinant vaccine and therapeutic protein manufacturer, which was acquired by Sanofi-Aventis recently. His company has supplied vaccine products for several large-scale national and international vaccination projects conducted under the auspices of the Government of India and the World Health Organization. Mr Reddy currently serves as a Director of Sanofi-Aventis, India. Previously, he worked as a Research scientist for Defence Electronics Research Laboratories, and subsequently, at the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation, Hyderabad, India. He is an engineering graduate from the Andhra University, and holds an MBA from Osmania University of Hyderabad, India
Dr. Higgs is the Bioinformatics Group Lead within Translational Sciences at MedImmune, focusing on biomarker discovery and development to enhance drug development. Prior to this, he was a Senior Scientist at MITRE, a federally funded R&D company working for the Department of Defense, where he lead epidemiological integration for the CDC and developed detection approaches for biothreats and syndromic surveillance. Previously, he was a Biostatistician at Gene Logic, where he developed predictive models of toxicity. He is adjunct faculty in the Bioinformatics Graduate program at Johns Hopkins University and received his PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from George Mason University, his MS in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University, and his BS in Biochemistry from Indiana University.
