What is the PleximmuneTM test ?
The PleximmuneTM test provides information about the current risk of transplant rejection.
The PleximmuneTM test is:
- A blood test that measures the anti-donor activity of white blood cells called lymphocytes. The anti-donor activity in transplant recipients is known to cause transplant rejection. This activity is analyzed to determine whether the risk of transplant rejection is increased or decreased. The healthcare provider can combine this information with other clinical information, and plan treatment.
- A test that has been well studied and validated in over 200 children with liver or intestine transplantation in the U.S.
- A test that provides a numeric score indicating whether the likelihood of transplant rejection is increased or decreased.
- Safe and convenient, and requires a simple blood sampling procedure.
